Fiddlesticks Cedar
Cedar by Fiddlesticks is a bamboo cotton 6 ply blend. A great colour palette that is suitable for new borns to adults. Cedar is a yarn that flows through your hands either knitting or crocheting in patterns for 5ply sportweight to 8ply DK weight yarn. Beautiful in blankets and garmets.

Fiddlestick Cedar - Rose
By: Liliana on 10 August 2025The yarn is beautifully soft and easy to knit, perfect for little ones. My specific review is to do with the colour pictured for this particular "rose" colour yarn, which, sadly, is very different in reality. I wish the actual colour of the yarn was actually rose as in the picture. It is in fact darker and much duller than expected. Also, some tints of darker stain have appeared in the thread in the middle of the knitted product (in the Amathyst colour). Hoping it will disperse subtly when washed.

Hooked on Molong Response
Thank you for your honest review. It does help fellow friends of Hooked On Molong in their purchasing decision. I was actually surprised at the "stains" on the fibre. I have used Cedar on many occasions and I have to say this is the first time I have known of this experience. I would even go so far to say it is probably 1 in a million. I will though let my supplier know. If you are not 100% satisfied with the outcome after a washing, please do reach out again and I will replace the fibre. In regards to the colour comparison of the item in the "Real" compared to my images online, I will try my best to rectify. The current images used are stock images provided by the manufacturer. I will attempt to make some photos so shoppers may have an alternative perspective of the colour. Thank you also for mentioning your pleased thoughts on working with the fibre. I love using it too!
